Taking off Badges and Emblems

I just took off the rear emblems on my Audi. At first I thought there were holes connecting the emblems to the car, but it was actually like glued or taped on. I thought the process was going to be difficult but it wasn't at all. Most cars now-a-days don't have the holes, but call the dealership first before you take them off.

A lot of people use like a tool or a knife or whatever to take it off, but that way may put scratches on your car. All I did was use a blowdryer to heat up the emblem then after a few minutes I used a plastic knife to just detach the emblem. I was painless and easy. No scratches, no nothing.

However, there was one problem...which was taking off the left over glue left on the car. But there's nothing a little WD-40 can't fix... now it's nice and clean...but give it a car wash and wax too though, so it will look even more fresh.

USC vs. San Jose State

Well I just recently went to the 2009 home opener for the USC Trojans. It was a blast; even if it was unexpected...I had realized that I was going 2 hours before kickoff when Tyler told me that he got 3 tickets for me nessa and himself...well traffic was crappy and parking was even worse.

Since we did park far, we gave ourselves a personal tour through the USC campus, and I must say it was a nice campus. The campus was about 5 CSUF campuses. That was nice and all but back to the game.

We walked into "The Coliseum" and trust me...it was a coliseum. The stadium did represent a coliseum perfectly well as best as they could. The atmosphere was intense and the field was incredibly beautiful.

We got there at the start of the 1st quarter and it was 3-0 I believe, San Jose State. I thought that USC really did get weak, but they quickly proved me wrong with 2 Stefon Johnson rushing TD's and a Joe McKnight TD. Then later a quick pass by Matt Barkley to the endzone for another TD. Within a quarter USC went from down by 3 to up by 25. This shows USC's continuous dominence, but none the less, they were playing San Jose State; which is in the WAC conference. They don't call it the WAC conference for nothing.

We took a trip to get a quick soda and Joe McKnight scored another TD before we could even get back. Once again, USC's superstar power. We left after the 3rd quarter because we all knew who had won this game.

Walking out, USC was once again a force to be reckon with this upcoming college football season, but however I do believe they did get weaker from previous years. I believe their defense and offense is solid, but I still have my doubts about freshman quarterback Matt Barkley. Watching this game, I was not impressed by him, even though he did not make any turnovers, but he missed plenty of wide open receivers. I guess we just have to wait and see. Even though I have confidence and doubts about this team, I do believe they will go to a bowl game, but not the National Championship game because that will be taken by Florida and Texas, and not Oklahoma because of Sam Bradford's injury (TBD). Well that was my take from watching the USC game in the coliseum.

College Beginnings

It's a furlough day for a lot of people i know soooo everyone is gone, and i'm by myself :(
furlough days are days certain teachers takes off during the school year randomly, and we don't have that specific class that day...be jealous high schoolers...

Well i am about to officially end my first week in college...it has been...interesting...the weather sucked!! it was dry and hot and humid and crapyy, but none the less college is great. SOOOO much freedom...i come and go as i please...well my history and english class is legit...my teachers are the best!! they are out-there random and loves to curse (at times)...my music teacher is more on the professional side he really really loves music and connects us with the music...hes great...my math teacher...lol...OMG!! she's viet and she's straight out of a nail salon...lol she has the thickest accent ever!! we were learning about functions, and the whole time i thought we were talking about the prices at a nail salon...lol n theres biology...i was going through a controversy if i should drop that class or not because of the difficulty but the teacher is great and very enthusiastic about bio and the end i stayed and im glad i did...

Club Rush starts next week and i am excited to sign up for clubs...i would have signed up for the filipino club but naw i did that already...imma sign up for the vietnamese club and of course my fraturnity...zeta phi rho...im very anxious to see what that's all about...well yea

College is just beginning and i have a long journey to go...it's goin to be the greatest...for all the high schoolers...study ahead and be ready for class because college, there's no room for excuses, but overall college makes me wanna say "SCREW HIGH SCHOOL" lol jk but college is awsome...so far :D

College is just another chapter that is about to begin in my life...stay tuned

Vick Reinstated

Just a few days ago, Michael Vick was reinstated into the NFL; obviously under certain circumstances. Never the less, Vick is back and ready to prove himself. The only question now is which team is willing to take a risk on Michael Vick?

Well first of all, I do not believe having Michael Vick is a risk at all. He is an awsome ball player and every team should want the work of Mike Vick. I understand because of his reputation, it can be a risk, but for the style of play, production, and offensive threat he is, teams should automatically pick him up. I have heard different scenarios from all different teams, but I have two from each conference where Michael Vick will fit perfectly, in my opinion.

The first team is the Minnesota Vikings from the NFC. I choose the Vikings because they are in need of a quarterback. Tavaris Jackson is nice, but he is not great. Having Vick will give the Vikings an explosive weapon and trigger at the QB position. The Vikings recently lost the Favre opportunity, so they need a QB. With an insane running-back in Adrian Peterson; Vick will add another dimension in the scheme. I know the Vikings offense is a bit West Coast Offense, but before the Vick saga happened, he was begining to get used to it. Plus, with Vick, Peterson, and Berrian. It will seem like the old days when Vick played for the Falcons, and you know how far they would always get in the playoffs.

The other team which makes the most sense is the Miami Dolphins. That was the team everyone thought of as soon as Vick was even considered for reinstatement. The offense is perfect for Vick...THE WILDCAT...it would be almost a match made in heaven. Vick would dominate games with his explosiveness and quickness in the wildcat. However, the Dolphins just recently drafted Pat White from West Virginia in the 2nd round to play the role Vick would play. People say White is just as explosive as Vick, but has a better arm than Vick. That might be true, and watching him in college proves that point, but Vick has done it in the league already. White has not.

Well the question still is up in the air. Some experts say that teams will be looking to bring in Vick to be a backup. Come on now, Vick is probably better than most of the quarterback in this league. He was probably in the top 10 before he got in trouble. He was an MVP finalists and led his Falcons to the Conference Championship game. He was the most dangerous player in the game. My advise to Vick is to play in the AFL or the CFL or the UFL to show once again how much of a great player he is. Once that happens, teams will be all over him.

Orlando Vacation

Well I got back from my vacation in Orlando yesterday. I visited Disneyworld's Animal Kingdom and Epcot. I also visited Universal's Island of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida.

Animal Kingdom was kinda kid-ish, but it was really nice there. Alot of nice views and stuff. The coolest thing there is like a big tree in the middle of the park which has different wooden engravings in it with all sorts of animals. Epcot was cool because it was modern and futuristic. Like there was a ride which was like a pretend hang gliding through the state of California. Epcot also was cool because there were like buildings and sceneries from different countries like England, Germany, China, Japan, Italy, Canada, and a bunch more.

Universal was dope to. Island of Adventure had the hulk ride, nice ride but not worth the wait. The coolest part was the Marvel theme. Like a chunk of the park was stictly based on Marvel characters which was hella chill. There was the spiderman city, xmen place thing, the daredevil lawyer's firm, and much more. You think it, it's there. The other was ok too like Jurassic Park and like old ancient "Poseiden" times. In the Universal Florida it was chill, each scenery was based on a city like old school New York and San Francisco and Beverly Hills. The coolest part of that part was mos def the Simpsons!!!!!!!!!!!! There was a section where the park was based on strictly Krustyland and the Kwick E Mart...that was helllllaaaa dooooppppeeee!!!!

The parks were nice, but the best part about Orlando was the Blue Man Group Show. I saw that on Friday August 24th. It was a very very entertaining show. It was funny but also very informing about their style of percussion playing. They use like metal bins and like plumming tubes used underground, like pipes. It makes alot of unique sounds. They also made a beat off of wires like antennas. DOPE!! Sounded like a DJ scratching. But Blue Man Group stole the show for me on the Orlando Vacation.

Chandler for Okafor

This is my first blog ever on this site, so I'm still learning. This topic made me want to start blogging. I have so much to say, but no one was willing to listen. Here's my chance. Well let me start with that the trade makes sense, but I do not understand why it is begin constructed.

Chandler is a 7 footer, but has injury problems. Okafor is a little undersized for center, but is very consistent. Both is under the age of 30, both plays similar roles on their current team, however, the contract sizes are a bit different.

For the Bobcats, the trade will work well if Chandler stays healthy, because it gives them size at the center position, and they have Sean May to play power-forward, and they also have Boris Diaw, so the Bobcats are set. On the other hand, for the Hornets, it gives them a nice player, but he is a bit undersized. He was doing fine in the Eastern Conference, but in the Western Conference, it is a different story. He will have to be defending better quality big men like Tim Duncan, Pau Gasol, Yao Ming (if he returns), Dirk Nowitzki, Al Jefferson, the young guns like Blake Griffin, Greg Oden, and Andrew Bynum, and the list goes on and on. Whereas in the Eastern Conference, you only have to worry about Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett, and a few of the old timers like Shaq, but they aren't much of a factor for Okafor. All in all, I believe that is the only difference. Okafor will take the defensive duties Chandler had, and play a similar role Chandler did on the offensive end, but a little more post up than pick and roll.

Although it is an even trade, I believe that in the long run both teams will benefit. The Bobcats gets rid of a long contract and adds size to their team. The Hornets if it pans out will get a future defensive player of the year and a still to improve former #1 pick of the NBA Draft.

I am actually in favor for this trade because I believe Okafor will benefit the Hornets very well, and he will help Chris Paul tremendously, and I want Chris Paul to get a ring and MVP. That's my biased point of view.

Hopefully this trade happens, because we all know what happended the last time Chandler was attempted to be traded. I have more to write about this trade because there is so much more to this trade and more players will probably be included in this, so stay tuned.
